Due to a massive solar flare (Coronal Mass Ejection), the aurora forecast is currently at KP8 - the highest it has been for some time.
This may mean (subject to clear skies) the aurora may be visible at low latitudes, including the U.K. - with sightings already confirmed in Holland.
It may be visible to the naked eye and it's always worth taking a photo using the long exposure setting on your camera or phone (as long as you keep your device very still).
